Ann: Run the Spooky Duke for Me

“Laugh and the world laughs with you”

My name is Ann and I have cerebal palsy with spastic quadriplegia, I also have a contagious laugh that will have everyone laughing with me, and a smile that will brighten most days. While some of my friends are running around the mall, having slumber parties, and exploring the neighborhood, I can usually be found at home or out with my parents, relatives and caretakers who support my daily needs and me. I enjoy many sports including beach volleyball, hockey, and swimming. Sometimes I play adaptive baseball. I listen to music, watch TV, work with my Tobii Dynavox playing games, and communicate with others. I like to help in the kitchen, garden, do art, and meet people. I may need assistance when I get out but I can brighten your day.

Ann and her family have been involved with the Parent to Parent Family Support Network-HC for 9 years.

With your support of the Spooky Duke Race you are helping Ann and others receive the information, support, resources, education, and awareness of special needs in our 7 county area of North Carolina. Together we can make a difference! To learn more visit parent2parent.appstate.edu. Thank you!
